An amazing Croatina, from 100 year old vines grown on the side of the Boca appellation closest to the mountains. Its rich dark red with purple notes anticipates the crisp intensity of red fruit, in particular cherry, on the palate. Croatina has a certain sweetness to it, where Nebbiolo and Vespolina tend to be more austere. Perhaps the cherry and plum notes are slightly creamy, as if in jam made with just a tiny hint of added sugar. Red and dark berries and viola complement the aromatic palette. There is pleasantness and appropriate body to this wine. Excellent and quite unique!
